About UP/VE Resins

Composite materials made with UPR offer a unique balance of performance, strength and cosmetic features bringing part design flexibility, functional integration capability, fast production cycles, low manufacturing capital investments, and reduced maintenance of the part, all key contributing factors to optimizing final application cost and performance.

Versatility and Performance.

Unsaturated Polyester Resins (UPR) are thermoset polymers dissolved in a reactive diluent, used in combination with glass fibres or carbon fibres to make reinforced composite components. They can also be used with different types of fillers to produce unreinforced composite materials. The final composite product is formed when the initially liquid polymer reacts with the reactive diluent and hardens through cross-linking.

A proven track record of over 60 years

UP / VE RESINS are the preferred material for a wide range of applications in building and construction, transportation, electrical & energy, marine, sport & leisure sectors. These versatile materials have been used over 60 years to make strong and durable parts in cars and trucks, boats, baths and sinks, kitchen countertops, as well as for making wind turbine blades. As a result of continuous product innovation, the range of applications is growing each year

Why Composites?
